Freelance translator specializing in English-Polish and

I have a PhD in biology (specialization - medical genetics) and I translate Polish<>English scientific and technical texts in the fields of biology, medicine, biotechnology, pharmacy and chemistry.

I document my knowledge of English with over 11 years of research experience in an English-speaking environment in the United States and the Netherlands.

For more than 13 years I have been translating and proofreading scientific articles, grant applications, theses, reviews, clinical trial documentation, medical device and test manuals, pharmaceutical leaflets, and other documents related to the aforementioned

fields.

I started my education in Wrocław, defended my PhD in the Netherlands in Groningen and did post-doctoral internships in the USA in Atlanta and Baltimore. My experience working abroad in an English-speaking environment allowed me to master the specialized expressions and vocabulary used in my fields. I have also completed courses in translating and writing scientific publications in English and I am listed in the "NOT" register of technical translators. I have had the opportunity to provide translation and proofreading services for academics from national universities (including WUM, WIM, UJ, UP Lublin, UM Lublin, UP Poznań, UAM Poznań, UP Wrocław, UR Kraków, ZUT, USz, UWr, UG, UMCS, IFR PAN, IHAR PIB, IITD PAN, IFŻZ), foreign universities (Emory University, University of Groningen, Johns Hopkins University), as well as Polish and foreign translation agencies (SDL, Transperfect, RWS and others). Services are priced on the basis of the number of words of the source text. In order to verify the professionalism of the translation, a test translation of no more than 500 words is possible. I issue non-VAT invoices for my services.
